A collection of tin bag fillers from Dimboola and Northern Victoria. When a hessian bag was filled with grain and partly sewn across the top the bag filler was inserted as far as possible into the grain. The hopper (top section) was filled with grain and the half lid clamped down. With a pumping action, more grsain was forced down the funnel and into the bag. When the bag was full, the sewing of the bag was completed. The aim was to supply tightly filled bags of grain that would stack uniformly. Great decorative or conversation piece. Price $120.00 each.
